Vermicelli Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 pk vermicelli (280 g/ 10.oz)
  • 5 cups milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup condensed milk
  • 24 crushed almonds (optional)

Methods/steps

  1. In a large pot, melt the margarine or butter over med heat
  2. Add the vermicelli noodle and fry it until the majority of the noodles are light brown
  3. Add the milk, vanilla extract and condensed milk to the noodles and bring to a boil over med heat
  4. Once boiling, lower to low-med heat
  5. Stir frequently, until it becomes a thick consistency
  6. Once thickened, stir in almonds
  7. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan and let it sit for 1 hour to set
  8. Cut into squares and serve

Additional Tips

You can also add raisins or cherries when adding the nut.
