Custard Block

Description

A yummy treat for the hot summer days!

Ingredients

2 trays

1 can of carnation milk (370 ml)

1 can of condensed milk (300 ml)

1 cup of water

1/2 cup of custard powder

1/8 tsp nutmeg

 

Methods/steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix the custard powder with 1/2 up of carnation milk. Mix until the powder has disolved.
  2. In a medium sized pot, mix the remaining carnation milk, condensed milk, water and nutmeg. (using a whisk is best)
  3. On med heat, bring the mixture to a near boil (3-5 minutes).
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the custard mixture. Continue to turn the mixture with your whisk. Cook for approx. 2 minutes.
  5. Remove mixture from the burner and let cool.
  6. Once cool, pour into ice cube trays and freeze for approx. 4 hours or until the custard is frozen in the trays.
