Fried Okra and Shrimp

- 1 med onion (chopped)
- 227 gr. Cooked shrimp (peeled & deveined—approx 50-60 pieces)
- 8 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 med tomatoes (diced)
- 4 cups sliced okra (fresh or frozen)
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp hoisen sauce
- 3-4 wri wri pepper
- 6 tbsp oil
Methods/steps
- In a large frying pan/ skillet, add 3 tbsp of oil and heat over med-high heat
- Add ½ of the following: onion, garlic, tomato, and fry for 5 mins.
- Add salt, black pepper and shrimp—mix and cook for 2 minutes
- Add okra and remainder of onion, garlic and tomato. Add 3 tbsp of oil and hoisen sauce; turn and mix. Continue cooking for 5 minutes
- Turn heat up on high and cook for an additional 10 minutes (you must keep stirring and watch to make sure the okra does not burn)
