Devica's Green Mango Sour Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 med. green mango
- 21/2 c water
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 3 wri wri peppers (whole)
- a pinch of geera/cumin (optional)
Methods/steps
- Peel and thinly slice the mango (discard the seed)
- Pour 11/2 cups of water into a pot, and then add remaining ingredients (mango, garlic, pepper, cumin (optional) into a pot and boil over med-high heat.
- Boil until everything is soft (add additional water if it starts to get too dry). Once everything is soft in consistency, mash with a fork
- Add salt to taste

This dish is hassle free and easy to make. I used half ripe mangoes instead of green. Had no green mangoes at the time I made it, which gave this dish a hint of sweet. My friends loved it with polourie and potato balls. ! Spicy, sweet and Hot!
