Beef Curry

Description

This is not a traditional beef curry recipe. I make this to eat as a side dish with dahl.

  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 10 garlic cloves minced
  • 2-3 wri-wri pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 11/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp masala
  • 1/2 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp sweet soya sauce
  • 1 green onion
  • 4 cups water
  • 3-4 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into four)
  • 1 1/2 pounds of stewing beef

Methods/steps

  1. Heat oil on medium-high heat
  2. Add onion, garlic, pepper and cook for 1 - 2 mins
  3. Add beef and stir until well mixed
  4. Add black pepper, salt, curry powder, masala, tomato paste and stir
  5. Add soya sauce and stir
  6. Add green onion and potatoes, then stir and mix
  7. Add water and bring to a boil
  8. Preassure for 20 mins on med-high heat
  9. Once cooled down, remove lid and boil for 10 -15 mins to reduce gravy
